About the role:



The Senior Database Architect Leader is primarily responsible for the databases that support company applications. Responsibilities also include overseeing a small development team consisting of architects and developers. This role includes evaluating and strategically improving the existing schema of legacy products as well as designing and creating for new development.  This leader will participate in strategic planning and will work closely with algorithm and software architects on the overall design for technology solutions. Candidates with both strong database skills and product development leadership experience have an advantage.




·        Analyze existing legacy system databases to determine data availability and needs with respect to the legacy applications.

·        Identify areas for database schema and code improvement

·        Define standards and frameworks for data architecture design

·        Develop, implement, and maintain relational database structures, tables, data sets, and user data schemas across MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, and Postgres instances

·        Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures, and definitions for the data dictionary

·        Ensure the performance, integrity, and availability of database instances through forward-looking design and proactive monitoring and maintenance

Candidate Requirements:


·        5+ years of experience in SQL, Database Development

·        Experience in healthcare data and databases is required
