CERNER CCL PROGRAMMER

Posted: Nov 08, 2017
Pay: 80/hr.
Job Type: Contractor
Location: Northeast
Remote Option: yes
Travel Required: M-Th

Onsite:  Weekly, Monday – Thursday for the first month, then mostly remote schedule

Duration:  3 months initial with strong potential for extension.

Description:

Hospital is getting ready to go live on December 1st and need to figure out their reports situation. Cerner has a number of reporting tools (PowerInsight, Custom scripts, LightHouse, CCL, Discern, and their new CAR Portal) and hospital does not really have a good understanding of when and how to use each of these tools. They have a number of ‘canned’ reports that come with the system and also Centricity (their old system) reports that will need to be recreated. They are working on a gap analysis between the two.

  • Hospital needs someone who is strong with CCL and all of the above-named tools, but someone who can come in to educate and help them understand the Cerner options for distributing and writing reports. They will likely need assistance prioritizing/understanding their options and once that is done, they have expressed the need to have someone to help them write the reports and get them done.
  • This role will start on-site during the initial portion of educating and figuring out the go-forward plan (probably a month or so) and then will be largely remote. We need someone who has very strong leadership skills, excellent communication/teaching skills, and of course, very strong programming skills in the disciplines previously mentioned.
  • Emphasis:  Strong communication/mentorship skills and strong technically but also has great people skills
